Enactment

In an Enactment Service, Scripture comes to life! Whether in Hebrew, Greek, or English, a group or single performer embodies or acts out a passage of Scripture, and invites the congregation to step into the story. The enactors may speak themselves, or others may speak.
Structure
The centerpiece of this proclamation is the enactment, but one can vary the before and after elements of the structure:
-
Invitation: The people of God are invited to encounter the Trinity by both word and symbol.
-
Song or Prayer: Prepare the people of God to experience the Word with either song or prayer.
-
Scripture: Actors bring the Scripture to life with their enactment.
-
Response: The people of God respond to what they have witnessed with singing.
-
Sending: Send the people of God out with benediction.
